An open colonnade where architecture and nature meet.

The marble columns frame the gardens beyond, while the geometry of the floor draws the eye through the space. The repetition of arches, columns and squares creates a precise architectural rhythm, softened by the irregular patterns of the marble and the landscape beyond.

What interests me here is the conversation between the two : the order imposed by architecture and the less predictable forms of nature. For a moment, neither dominates. Stone and garden become parts of the same composition, connected by light, pattern and perspective.
